Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Highlighters Travel, we know that plans can change. This policy explains how we handle cancellations and refunds for all bookings made through https://highlighterstravel.com or our customer service channels.

Cancellation by the Customer

If you need to cancel your trip, please let us know via email or WhatsApp as soon as possible. Refunds are issued based on how many days before your scheduled departure you notify us.

Cancellation Time	Refund Amount
15 or more days before departure	90% of total amount refunded
7–14 days before departure	50% of total amount refunded
Less than 7 days before departure	No refund

Note: If only a partial payment was made, the refund percentage applies to the total package amount—not just the advance.

Cancellation by Highlighters Travel

In rare situations, we may have to cancel a trip due to:

Natural disasters
Government restrictions
Minimum group size not met
Operational issues

If we cancel your trip:

You’ll receive a full 100% refund, or
You may choose to reschedule or transfer the booking to a future date

Force Majeure Clause

We are not liable to issue refunds or compensation for trip interruptions caused by events beyond our control, such as:

Adverse weather conditions
Political unrest or strikes
Road closures
Medical emergencies
Acts of God (e.g., floods, landslides)

Refund Process

Refunds will be initiated within 5–7 working days
Payment will be made to your original payment method or bank account
You will receive a confirmation once the refund is processed

Non-Refundable Components

The following charges are non-refundable:

Convenience fees (₹1000 Per Person)
Government permits or temple passes issued in your name
Hotel charges if cancellation is made after the check-in time
